Verification is an important step for every vendor on Chattels. It helps confirm your identity, location, and credibility, ensuring customers trust your store and making you eligible to fully receive orders and earnings.
Step 1: Access the Verification Page
- From the homepage, go to your Vendor Dashboard.
- Scroll down the side menu to Settings.
- Hover on Settings and select Verification from the dropdown.
You’ll see three types of verification available:
- Address Verification
- Identity Verification
- Social Account Verification
Step 2: Verify Your Address
- Fill in your complete and accurate store address exactly as listed in your store details.
- Upload a valid document showing the same address (e.g., utility bill, tenancy agreement, or government-issued document).
- Ensure the document is clear, readable, and up to date.
⚠️ Important: Without address verification, any orders you receive will be held for 2 days. If not verified within that period, the order will be canceled and the customer refunded.
Step 3: Verify Your Identity
Choose one of the following documents:
- National ID
- Driver’s License
- Voter’s Card
- International Passport
The name on your chosen document must match the name on your registered Chattels account to avoid rejection.
Successful verification ensures you are who you claim to be and allows you to receive orders and earnings without restrictions.
Once approved, a verification checkmark will appear on your store, and you’ll gain full access to your earnings.
⚠️ Important: Without identity verification, you will not be able to process withdrawals. Any pending withdrawal requests will remain on hold for up to 2 days. If verification is not completed within that period, the request will be canceled and funds returned to your account.
Step 4: Verify Your Social Profiles
You can also link your social media accounts such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter (X) to your Chattels account. This adds credibility to your store and reassures customers that you’re a genuine vendor.
Final Step
After completing these verifications, your store will display a trusted verification badge, and you will be fully enabled to operate as a verified vendor on Chattels.
