How to Edit Your Store Details

Keeping your store details accurate and professional is important for building trust with customers and improving your store’s visibility on Chattels. From your vendor dashboard, you can easily update key information such as your store banner, profile picture, address, phone number, operating hours, vacation status, and even your store biography.

Follow the steps below to update your store details:

Step 1: Accessing Store Settings

  • Log in to your Chattels vendor dashboard.
  • From the side menu, scroll down to Settings.
  • Hover on Settings and select Store from the dropdown.
  • The Store Details page will appear.

Step 2: Updating Basic Store Information

  • Store Banner: Upload a clear and attractive banner image (recommended size: 625 x 300).
  • Profile Picture: Upload a sharp, recognizable profile image (recommended size: 500 x 500).
  • Address & Phone Number: Correct or update your physical address and contact number.

Step 3: Setting Your Store Geo Address

Chattels provides a built-in Google Maps tool to help you set your store’s exact location.

  • Search for your address or adjust the pin manually.
  • Select your actual address or location or choose the one closest to your address or location.
  • If selling from home, you may use your street address (without the house number) for privacy.
  • By default, the geo address is set to Ikeja, Lagos — make sure to update this, or your store may not appear when customers filter by location.

⚠️ Important: If your geo address is not updated, your store may not appear in customer search results when they filter by location.

Step 4: Configuring Your Store Schedule

  • Select the days your store will be open (e.g., Monday–Friday).
  • Set opening and closing times.
  • Add multiple time slots if you wish to open in both the morning and evening.
  • If you prefer to always stay open, uncheck the opening/closing time option.

Step 5: Setting Vacation Mode

If you’ll be away for an extended period, you can enable vacation mode.

  • Instant Close: Your store will be unavailable immediately after saving.
  • Date-Wise Close: Choose specific start and end dates for your vacation.

💡 Customers will see your vacation message on both your product and store pages. Products will not be buyable until you disable vacation mode.

Step 6: Writing Your Store Biography

Use the Biography section to tell your story and explain why customers should shop with you.

  • Add your store’s history, values, or unique selling points.
  • Use the built-in text editor to format and stylize your content.

Step 7: Saving Your Changes

Once you have updated all details, click Save at the bottom of the page to apply changes.

✅ Your store details are now updated and will reflect immediately on your storefront.
