Chattels operates an inventory-free platform where sellers keep possession of their items while we facilitate pick-up and delivery of the items after a successful sale.
We will send your delivery and tracking information via email as soon as your item has been dispatched.

Changed your mind, or gave the wrong address at checkout? No worries, we’ve all done it. As long as your order hasn’t been processed or shipped, you can make changes to it.
To cancel/edit your order, login and choose Your Account from the drop-down menu under your username. On your Account page, select Orders from the left-hand side, and find the order you’d like to update from your Order History.
All orders are packed and sent out by the seller through Chattels & Partners Limited. The sellers, in partnership with Chattels & Partners Limited, will handle shipping, delivery, and returns.

Chattels operates an inventory-free platform where sellers keep possession of their items while we facilitate pick-up and delivery of the items after a successful sale.
Customers are encouraged to confirm the availability of an item before making payment and also book an appointment for inspection whenever they are in doubt or not convinced about the quality, functionality, or durability of an item displayed on the platform.
We only charge N5,000 for the inspection, which involves connecting an intending buyer to a seller. Inspections should be done during the day and in an open environment. This is necessary for the safety of both the buyer and the seller.
We do not allow payment upon delivery. A customer is required to pay for an item before it can be delivered.
Paystack is our payment provider. Trusted by thousands of companies.
You will see the name Paystack on your card receipt and statement. Once you have completed your order on Chattels Limited, you will receive an email from our payment partner, Paystack.
Please be assured that Chattels & Partners Limited is all about quality. We will continue to work with the sellers to verify, authenticate, and ensure that quality items are regularly displayed on the platform.
You can narrow down your search by selecting different product categories or by filtering products with the drop-down menu. For example, you can choose to filter by Category, Price, Condition, Brand, etc. Also, we’ve added a map to help you filter or search for products near you or products near a location you want, could be a local government, a state, an area or virtually anywhere in Nigeria.
Account
To create an account, click on the header icon and click on the “My Account” link in the dropdown, you will be directed to the registration page where you can enter your email address and a password to create your account.
If you forget your password, click on the “Lost your password?” link on the login page. Enter your registered email address, and you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.
To change your password, log in to your account and navigate to the “Account Details” section. Enter your current password, followed by your new password, and click “Save Changes.”
To update your account information, log in to your account and go to the “Account Details” section. You can update your name, email address, and password. Click “Save Changes” to update your details.
To delete your account, please contact us through info@chattels.ng. Specify your request, and we will assist you with the account deletion process.

No, we don’t have a physical store. Chattels is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell pre-owned furniture & appliances, as well as office furniture & fittings.
No, we don’t, but we are in partnership with some logistics companies that help facilitate the pick-up and delivery of items when deals are sealed up on the platform.
To fully enjoy shopping on Chattels, follow our simple guide:
- Search for the item.
Use a search panel with filters and find what you need. This will allow you to choose exactly what you are looking for.
- Confirm the availability of the product.
When you find something you like, just click on the product availability button to check if it’s in stock.
Feedback is like a review that customers can give after buying something from a seller. It helps other buyers know if the seller is trustworthy.
Chattels is a marketplace where many sellers sell the same things, so buyers can pick who to buy from based on the product and the seller’s trust.
You can see feedback about sellers when you look at their products. It’s right under their names.
Sometimes, a seller might not have any feedback yet. If you buy from them, you can be the first to leave feedback.

When you make a payment on our platform, the seller’s account is credited, but we hold the funds until you receive and accept the item based on your taste and the seller’s quality specifications.

Sellers
Post your ads on Chattels effortlessly by following the steps below:
- Sign up on Chattels by using the Create Account page.
- Click on the button that says, “I am a vendor.”
- Complete all the information. Choose a proper category, upload the photos with a short video of your item, and write a clear title with a detailed description of what you’re selling and the price.
1. Add a precise title for each product.
2. Make sure you add a brief and clear description without any false information. Every product should contain unique images taken by you without any contact information or watermarks.
3. The prices of your items must correspond to the actual prices of similar products.
4. All posted products and services must be within Nigeria.
Returns & Refunds
After returning an item, the processing time takes between 1 and 2 weeks before you can get your refund.
To return your order, simply initiate a return order request under “Order history page,” and you will get a return label notification from us. In case you don’t get the notification; you can contact us via our email: info@chattels.ng

We only charge ₦5,000 for the inspection, which involves connecting an intending buyer to a seller. Inspections should be done during the day and in an open environment. This is necessary for the safety of both the buyer and the seller.
If a customer did not carry out enough due diligence and wants an item to be returned, such a customer will bear the logistics cost of returning the item back to the seller.
Issues related to returned items must be communicated to us within 48 hours after the item has been delivered. This is to enable us to get in touch with the seller on time and to also delay crediting the seller before the 72-hour settlement period for our sellers.
Shipping & Tracking
Change of address must be communicated to us within 24 hours of the purchase of an item.
Delivery is done on or before 72 hours after payment.
One of our logistics partners will deliver your order.
They are responsible for the pick-up and delivery of customer items.
Once you have checked that the item is in stock, you can proceed to pay for it, and it will be delivered to you within 72 hours.
